Our estimates and takeoffs are prepared based on the plans, drawings and specifications provided to us by the client. While we apply rigorous quality control processes, all estimates are inherently based on the information available at the time of preparation. DO Estimating does not guarantee that actual construction costs will match the estimated figures. Material prices, labor rates, market conditions and field conditions may cause actual costs to vary.
3. No Construction Advice
Nothing in any estimate, takeoff or communication from DO Estimating constitutes construction advice, engineering guidance, design recommendations or project management counsel. Our services are limited to numerical quantity and cost analysis for bidding purposes only. Contractors and project owners should consult licensed engineers, architects and construction managers for all construction-related decisions.
4. Client Responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of the client to review all estimates for completeness and accuracy before submitting any bid. Clients should verify all quantities, material specifications, local labor rates and applicable code requirements. DO Estimating is not liable for any bid submitted based on our estimates that results in financial loss, underbidding or any other adverse outcome.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DO Estimating’s total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific project estimate in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages of any nature.
